NEW DMM PRODUCTS FOR 2023!
As the BCC shop opens for the 2023 fundraising season, we’re excited to announce the arrival of some shiny new additions. With the assurance of absolute quality that is synonymous with DMM products, we have stocked up on their gear once again focusing on favourites from past years, while also throwing in a bit of change to freshen things up a bit. Following the success of our colour themed biners, pulleys, and XSREs in previous years, we have the shop well supplied with even more of the good stuff. New products in our classic colours, some familiar favourites, and Ultra-O’s in brand new colours. 2023 is to be BCC’s most ambitious year yet in terms of fundraising and engaging in our cause, and we’re eager to see the new and improved BCC shop make a year of charitable ambition into a year of success.
DMM Products for 2023
For this year only, our Ultra-Os are in stock in brand new colours, a combination of three colours emblematic of the toucan, a symbol of hope and abundance in the rainforest.
In our third year of supporting this fascinating cause, we are reaching the point where we can see the Siekopai community establish sustainable means of financially protecting themselves from the ever-present threat of industry. It is a truly wonderful transition we are witnessing, and to celebrate the milestone that this year’s funding will help establish we have made the decision to stock 500 carabiners in these colours.
The blue, especially, stands out so starkly in the deep greens of the rainforest, it seemed to be an excellent colour to symbolise the innovation and optimism that has brought the Seikopai to where they are this year, and the perfect colour for us to fly the flag of their achievements on our harnesses.
DMM BCC PINTO
We return to BCC colours, but with a much-loved product that’s making its first appearance in the shop this year, DMM’s Pinto Pulley.
Shorthand for “Pulley I Need To Own”, we’re delighted to see this in our colours, and given its size and quality we really don’t think DMM are being boastful with the name.
The body of the pulley is one solid piece, which in addition to giving it a sleek and solid appearance, also makes it incredibly robust.
This naturally provides a great deal of strength, but a big bonus is that the becket is load-bearing, a fantastic feature which gives much greater diversity to how this pulley can be used. Not only does the Pinto sport our colours and logo, it also comes with a BCC branded spacer to complete the setup.
Lastly, our love for handy, versatile gear has prompted us to expand our XSRE range this year. We will once again be stocking the Captive Bar XSRE biner, and we will also be stocking XSREs in their more conventional oval shape. These high performance accessory clips are abundant with uses. Honestly, it’s no great exaggeration to say that we live in constant anticipation of discovering new uses for them, but even just clipping tools to harnesses or keys to your belt is enough to make it well worth keeping a few handy.
XSRE Screwgate
Opening up the BCC shop is always an exciting time for us, and this year’s new gear makes that even more the case. As we anticipate a year of great success and meaningful change for the Seikopai, we also look forward to hearing your feedback and seeing photos of our new gear out amongst the trees.
